UDR of UAE files
[edit]Hi, I undeleted the files. The DR is very long, and I don't have the time now to remove the DR notice on the files. Could you do that please? Thanks for your help, Yann (talk) 09:13, 16 July 2024 (UTC)
- @Yann will do. Thanks for restoring. JWilz12345 (Talk|Contrib's.) 09:14, 16 July 2024 (UTC)
- @Yann: re: template (this), I think we do not need to create a template. I's rather prefer adding a brief description on the year of completion and a note regarding PD status, plus a link to the involved discussion. For example: at Category:Jumeirah Mosque. Preferably, the PD-status descriptions are to be made bilingual (one for English and the other in Arabic). JWilz12345 (Talk|Contrib's.) 13:07, 21 July 2024 (UTC)
File:Wisma Indocement.jpg has been listed at Commons:Deletion requests so that the community can discuss whether it should be kept or not. We would appreciate it if you could go to voice your opinion about this at its entry.
If you created this file, please note that the fact that it has been proposed for deletion does not necessarily mean that we do not value your kind contribution. It simply means that one person believes that there is some specific problem with it, such as a copyright issue. Please see Commons:But it's my own work! for a guide on how to address these issues. |

File:3581Biñan City, Laguna Barangays Landmarks 06.jpg
[edit]Hello, I've been noticing that you've been reviewing images from the Philippines. Please take a look at this photo, File:3581Biñan City, Laguna Barangays Landmarks 06.jpg. Although the memorial used the photo of Alzona from the National Academy of Science and Technology, I'm not sure whether the memorial itself was commissioned by the Philippine government or was made by private institutions/individuals. There is also no information regarding when the memorial was made only the description tells that it is located in Biñan City, Laguna. I did not think much at first when I first saw it but seeing the amount of image violations the uploader has, it raised my concern regarding this particular photo that has been used in multiple Wikipedia articles including Wikidata (and yes, I added the photo on the English Wikipedia without much thought). AsianStuff03 (talk) 12:49, 15 August 2024 (UTC)
- @AsianStuff03 two possible issues here: if the contents of the marker were indeed authored by a regular government employee or not, and also the underlying image of the person being honored. Another image from the uploader shows a more comprehensive view of the contents of the marker, with the final paragraph giving the date 2018 as the year when this marker was inaugurated. You may want to nominate the involved files, in accordance with COM:PRP, as we have no immediate knowledge and evidence that the author was a regular employee (not contractual or hired).
